Mission Statement:
The Centre is constantly improving its educational methodologies and tools, as demonstrated be the recent acquisition of a 180 degree and a 360 degree tower simulator. Classroom teaching methods are continually being advanced with the introduction of the ATC Computer Assisted Learning Program (CAL), which puts a Real-Time Interactive Simulator (RITS) on each student’s desk. The Air Traffic Services Training Centre is the larger of the two NCTI Centres and it contains three inter-related divisions of training expertise: the Air Traffic Control Training Division; the Flight Service Training Division; and, the Meteorology Training Division. The personnel in the Centre are multi-disciplinary group capable of providing training in virtually any element of an ANS system.
