Mission Statement:

While it only received its charter in 1967, the University of Winnipeg was created from the founding colleges of Manitoba College (1871) and Wesley College (1888). U of Winnipeg is constantly developing new programs, projects and resources, such as the Richardson College for the Environment and Sustainability Complex. The University's motto--Lux et Veritas Floreant--means "let light and truth flourish," and reflects the school's committment to providing an exciting and nurturing evironment where students can learn and grow and discover.
