ST. AUGUSTINE'S SEMINARY

ST. AUGUSTINE'S SEMINARY

Mission Statement:

St.Augustine's Seminary's primary purpose is the preparation of candidates for the priesthood. To this end, the seminarians live at a residential facility where they, the resident faculty and the Sisters of St. Martha create a community in which priestly formation is the focus. The seminary is one of the founding members of the Toronto School of Theology. The University of Toronto lends its facilities for research and ecumenical dialogue. The school has also received authorization from the Congregation of Catholic Education in Rome to grant its own ecclesiastical degree. The Toronto School of Theology is noted for its theological education of lay men and women and welcomes lay students to apply to any of our Programs.
