Mission Statement:

As an undergraduate, liberal arts university, the University of Sudbury is committed to fostering and developing their students' desire and ability to accept the task of humanity's perennial quest for ultimate meaning. Bathed in the Catholic tradition, the university is committed to bilingualism and the heritage of Canada's First Nations. Course options include philosophy, Native studies, religious studies, folklore and communication. On the university campus there is a quiet residence for students to live in while they study, a university chaplaincy to support students in the Catholic faith and tradition, and a Native elder to address the specific needs of Native students. The University of Sudbury is also federated with Laurentian University, Huntington University and Thorneloe University.
