Mission Statement:

Laurentian University is one of only two bilingual Canadian universities. It has over 9,000 students and has a significant Native Student population and a growing number of international students. Degree programs are offered in the humanities, social sciences, sciences and engineering. Nine professional programs, including Midwifery, Human Kinetics and Sports Administration, are also offered. The university has a full range of student services (including extensive services for Aboriginal students), and includes one affiliate college and three federated universities which means even greater program choice and flexibility.
