Mission Statement:

With the vision of offering education to all, the 9th Earl of Dalhousie set out to create Dalhousie University in 1818. In 2007 the University was ranked number one of the international institutions on 'The Scientist's' "Best Places to Work in Academia" list. Dalhousie conducts over $135 million in externally funded research annually and has 89 Rhodes Scholars amongst its 125,000 alumni. The student body is highly engaged in campus and community activities and Dalhousie alumni were ranked fourth by LinkedIn for alumni engagement in volunteerism. Students study on three campuses in Halifax, N.S. and an Agricultural Campus in Truro, N.S.
