Mission Statement:

Our Vision - St. Mary's University College is a beacon of learning, civility and hope, inspiring students to lead with integrity, to meet the future with confidence, intellectual acuity, moral conviction and a passion for social justice and the common good. Our Mission - We are a Catholic, post-secondary, student-focused liberal arts and sciences teaching and research institution. Through the sythesis of faith and reason, the College invites and challenges all individuals of the community to become compassionate, thoughtful, resourceful members of society. St. Mary's is a member of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities of Canada (ACCUC). While a draft charter for a Catholic College to be known as St. Mary's was first created in 1985, the University-College did not officially come into existence until June 16th, 2004. All admitted students, whether planning to complete their degree at the University College or transfer to another institution, are placed in the Liberal Arts and Sciences program upon admission.
