Mission Statement:
Founded in 1910 by Lutheran Norwegian pioneers, Augustana Campus is one of University of Alberta's unique campuses, offering a liberal-arts focused undergraduate education in an intimate residence-based setting of approximately a thousand students. The four departments offering degrees are The Department of Fine Arts, Department of Humanities, Department of Science and Department of Social Sciences. With a committment to excellence, Augustana offers small classes and a collegial, personal education open to students of all traditions. The mission of the University of Alberta, Augustana Campus is to prepare its students intellectually, imaginatively, morally, and spiritually for leadership and service in the community.
