Mission Statement:

The University College of the North (UCN) empowers people in Northern and Aboriginal communities by providing education and training that is rooted in the shared values of those peoples. The school's campuses are located in The Pas and Thompson, with 12 additional regional centres in Northern Manitoba. UCN has a Council of Elders that advises the school's Governing Council. UCN offers programs in technology and computer technology, human and health services, and skilled trades. Bachelor degree programs in Arts, Education, Nursing and Aboriginal Midwifery are also offered. Many courses are delivered via distance education, either over the internet or through videoconferencing.
