UNIVERSITÉ DE MONTREAL

UNIVERSITÉ DE MONTREAL

Mission Statement:

Founded in 1878, the Université de Montréal (UdeM) is now the largest university in Quebec and the second largest in Canada. With 13 faculties and 80 departments and schools, UdeM offers programs in almost all academic fields; it is the only Quebec university that teaches the full range of disciplines in health sciences and has the province's only faculty of veterinary medicine. At UdeM, the language of instruction and administration is French; however, a growing number of non-francophone applicants are pursuing the opportunity to study in a French-immersion context in Montréal, North America’s largest cosmopolitan city. English-speaking students from other Canadian provinces receive help and advice from the coordinator of the Anglophone Student Support Program.
