COLLEGE OF THE NORTH ATLANTIC - CARBONEAR

COLLEGE OF THE NORTH ATLANTIC - CARBONEAR

Mission Statement:

In 1997, the College of the North Atlantic was formed through amalgamating 17 district vocational schools which had peppered the Newfoundland & Labrador region since 1963. With the intention of developing highly skilled, enthusiastic and talented employees for an evolving professional landscape, CNA educates and retrains individuals in a spectrum of careers ranging from bricklaying, to marketing, to community studies -- thus forming a foundation and providing a locus of hope and dignity for a resilient and hard-working region of the country. Located on the Baccalieu Trail -- home to the Baccalieu Island Ecological Reserve, Carbonear is one of Canada's oldest towns, and is proud to be the agricultural training centre of the province. The campus aims to support, develop and diversify Newfoundland's and Labrador's agriculture industry as it reaches toward the long-term goal of sustainability.
