The University of New Brunswick (UNB) - Saint John Campus Faculty of Business offers a 12-month MBA program taught within an international context and delivered in a wireless environment. The program attracts both Canadian and international candidates and also offers a part-time study program, which can be completed in approximately three years. The program is structured to develop skills through a modular progression of courses that build from the fundamentals of business to advanced management practice. The full-time program is comprised of five eight-week study modules followed by an examination period, an optional three-month workplace internship and a final integrative project. The program offers two specific streams: International Business (IB), and Innovation and Technology Management (ITM). Students receive a common foundation in business essentials in the first two modules of study. In module three, students choose to focus in either the IB stream or the ITM stream. In module four, IB students study the North American trade environment in Saint John; while in module five, they choose to study either the European trade region, or the Asian trade region. Students enrolled in the ITM stream become involved in a project in an emerging enterprise or an established IT firm. Students may also choose a general curriculum and earn a General Management (GM) MBA, or complete research with a faculty member on a specific business issue. GM students complete a business plan as their final integrative project. A new combined MBA/CMA degree is also available.
