Internationally acclaimed for its high academic standards and excellence in teaching and research and widely recognized as Canada’s leading international business school, McGill University consistently attracts top students and faculty members from around the world.
In recognition of the increasingly complex economy, rapidly changing technology and the globalization of business practices, the Desautels Faculty of Management has recently revised its undergraduate Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree program. The faculty offers three areas of specialization. Students in all three areas begin their degree programs by studying the management core curriculum. General Management students acquire a strong business background by completing a minimum of two concentrations or combining one concentration with a minor from another faculty. Business concentrations include: accounting, entrepreneurship, finance, information systems, international business, labour management relations, marketing, operations management, organizational behaviour and human resource management, and strategic management. Majors and honours programs are designed for students who wish to develop a specific area of expertise, professional designations and other industry requirements. The Faculty Program in International Management is designed for students preparing for careers in international business. The International Exchange Program allows students to study at other leading business schools around the world for one to two terms.
