About the Secondary School International Program

'Senior Years' in Manitoba is considered Grades 9 to 12. PTSD has 4 schools that accept international students at this level. All 4 schools are similar in their course offerings but each one does have unique opportunities and areas where they specialize and excel.

Secondary School Highlights

  • PTSD schools are located in the university district of the City of Winnipeg, thereby creating a very strong academic environment. All 4 high schools offer AP Programs. They also offer a variety of language and fine arts programs. All students accepted into the high school program receive a conditional letter of acceptance from the University of Manitoba. This helps to create a seamless transition between high school and university in the City of Winnipeg. Students are welcome to come for a full year (= 2 semesters), one semester or for a short-term cultural experience.

About the Middle School International Program

'Middle Years' in Manitoba is defined as grades 5 to 8. PTSD has 27 of its 33 schools with all or some of these grades. All schools accept international students. Some are specific to French Immersion.

Middle School Highlights

  • PTSD Middle Years schools are proud to offer a "stand alone program" or a program that prepares international students for further study at the Senior Years level. Support at all levels is available with emphasis on ESL learning. All Middle Years schools offer a wide variety of extra curricular activities that are available to international students. Students are welcome to come for a full year (= 2 semesters), one semester, or for a short-term cultural experience.
