VISITING STUDENT PROGRAMS
|
Visiting programs for international students are also referred to as taking a semester abroad, a year abroad or a summer abroad. Visiting is when students enrolled in a university in their home country take a semester, a year or a summer course at a foreign university and receive credit for this course from their home institution. International students pay tuition for these courses to the host school.
Most Canadian universities offer opportunities to visiting students from other institutions, and it's a great way to take courses that are not necessarily available at your university back home. Visiting can give you a new experience and perspective, or offer the chance to study with a particular professor or department in Canada. It also offers the chance to learn or perfect a second language, and the opportunity to travel without losing any study time.
