Athol Murray College of Notre Dame: Russian Power Skating Coach to attend Summer Hockey Program
Athol Murray College of Notre Dame's Director of Hockey Development, Mr. Dale Derkatch, is pleased to announce that Russian power skating coach Sergey Tartykov will be at this summers Elite Boys Hockey Camp. Tartykov is a former Russian Olympic athlete who has pioneered the Russian Skating System. Tartykov has also been the head skating coach for the Minnesota Wild, of the NHL, for the past four seasons. Notre Dame's Elite Boys Camp will run from July 15-21.

Education Minister Honorable Ron Liepert announced recently that Golden Hills School Division will receive $17.5 million to modernize and right-size Drumheller Composite High School.
Education Minister Honorable Ron Liepert announced recently that Golden Hills School Division will receive $17.5 million to modernize and right-size Drumheller Composite High School. The addition of a new gymnasium, along with completely refurbished classrooms and administrative spaces will support DCHS's reputation both locally and internationally as a centre for excellence in academics, trades training, fine and performing arts and athletics. "We are very excited about the future for DCHS," remarked Board Chair, Christene Howard. Principal Zariski says the planned "state of the art facility" is a dream come true and future plans will build on the successful history of the school. He proudly commented that "DCHS fosters lifelong learning, prepares students for post secondary training and advanced education, promotes responsible global citizens, cultivates personal potential, encourages inclusive environments, establishes career pathways, and supports professional growth and learning. This will only get better in a great facility."
