International students will be placed in one of the district schools, and some program options include:
Year-long programs run for the full academic year (from September to June). High school programs cover the full range of academic programs, and may also include advanced placement programs.
High school bridge programs provide language skill instruction, and also cover the core subjects that will best help international students with the transition into a local high school. Some school district high school bridge programs guarantee a student's acceptance into a local public high school upon successful completion.
The International Baccalaureate program--which allows high-achieving students to gain university course credits while attending high school--may also be available through school districts in Canada.
