Post offices in Canada are operated by Canada Post, the national postal service. Canada Post manages the majority of mail in the country, and runs in partnership with Purolator, Canada's largest courier company.
Canada Post outlets sell almost anything needed to post letters and packages world-wide, including all kinds of stamps and various sizes of envelopes, boxes and other packaging. Canada Post offers ground, air and courier services for post cards, letters and packages, and prices will vary depending on weight, destination, time of year and speed of delivery. For instance, you can use the Express Post service if your item needs to arrive within two business days in Canada. Outlets also often offer post office boxes to rent.
Post offices may be in stand-alone buildings, or they may be inside some grocery stores or pharmacies. The Canada Post website has a locator to help you find your closest Canada Post outlet and the hours of operation.
