Mount Allison University Sackville, New Brunswick I chose to come to Mount A for the small university environment as well as the quality of education. Ever since the first day I got here, I've loved it. Small classes give us more opportunity to interact with profs, and the high standard of students makes it easier to do group studies. And it is so easy to be involved with groups and societies -- it's awesome! Steven Yao, 4th year Economics,

New Brunswick - Capital City: Fredericton
New Brunswick is a seaside province in eastern Canada with a diverse and fascinating cultural heritage. It borders Nova Scotia, Quebec and the US state of Maine, and is rich in natural resources. The province is bordered by water on three sides, including the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Northumberland Strait and the Bay of Fundy, which generates tides of up to 16.2 metres, the highest in the world. The population of New Brunswick is approximately 750,000, roughly 35 per cent of which is French speaking. This is primarily due to the large Acadian community living in New Brunswick. Acadia was originally a French colony established in the 1500s.
The province of New Brunswick is famous for being the “lobster capital of the world.” After satisfying your appetite, you may want to try out the golf course at St. Andrews by the Sea, or walk the ocean floor by taking part in the many scuba diving excursions offered along the provinces’ coasts. New Brunswick winters are known as “pure white gold” and the province offers over 900 kilometres of cross-country skiing and 6,000 kilometres of snowmobile trails. You can also visit Kings County, the covered bridge capital of Canada, and learn more about New Brunswick’s rich cultural heritage — it is one of the first regions to have been visited and settled by colonists from Europe in the early days of Canada’s past.
